DID YOU KNOW?

One way to protect your business website from infringing any copyright materials is never to use content from other websites and pass it off as your own. However, if you would really like to use such content, always get explicit consent from the website owner. Some website owners would permit limited usage of their content if consent is sought first and when due credit is given to them. Of course, the best way is to write your website yourself or engage copywriters to write original content for your website.

Similarly, TRANSLATING COPYRIGHT PROTECTED MATERIALS without explicit consent from the author is considered an infringement of copyright. When consent is given, authors would expect the translation to stay true to the original materials. Thus, it would be helpful for you to inform the author about how you intend to ensure the quality of the translation or to involve him throughout the translation/proofreading process.

ELITE ASIA respects the intellectual property rights of others and will not proceed on any translation work without verifying whether if the author has given the consent for translation. For advice on how to avoid infringing any copyright when TRANSLATING COPYRIGHT PROTECTED MATERIALS, call us at +65 6681 6717 or use our web form and we would be happy to oblige.
